OUR STORY
Several years ago, my husband Mike and I were invited to serve as Kids for Christ Coordinators through Couples for Christ.
We were excited to help children grow in their faith.
Then COVID happened.
Our gatherings moved online. We tried connecting with the children through Zoom, but like many families experienced, it wasn't always easy to keep children engaged through another online meeting.
During that season, we rediscovered something beautiful that has always been part of Couples for Christ culture: families gathering each week to talk about the Sunday Gospel together.
Not complicated theology.
Not long lessons.
Just parents and children opening God's Word and bringing it into everyday life.
That simple idea changed everything.
Instead of trying to get kids to come to us, we began creating Gospel videos that families could use in their own homes. Over time, those videos evolved into animated Gospel lessons watched by families around the world.
But in 2023, our family walked through a difficult season and the project came to a stop.
For a time, we wondered whether this mission had run its course.
Then God opened a new chapter.
Through a two-year journey with Encounter Ministries, I encountered a deeper understanding of my identity in Christ and a renewed conviction that faith formation begins in the home.
That experience reignited the vision.
Today, our mission is bigger than creating videos.
Our goal is to create all 52 Sunday Gospel lessons, 52 Scripture-based Sunday School songs, family discussion guides, activities, interactive games, and eventually 154 videos exploring Eucharistic miracles and the beauty of the Catholic faith.
Not simply to educate children.
But to help families encounter Jesus together.
Because we believe faith isn't meant to stay inside a church building for one hour a week.
It belongs around dinner tables.
On family couches.
In everyday conversations.
In everyday life.
That's why we created Sunday Gospel Adventures.
And that's why your membership matters.
